CUCP Certification Regulation

Metro complies with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 26, Subpart E, Certification Procedures Section 26.81, which requires Metro to participate in a Statewide Certification Unified Certification Program (CUCP) that will provide “one stop shopping” to all firms applying for DBE certification in the State of California.

California based U.S. DOT Recipients, including Metro, implemented the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) January 1, 2002. Under the CUCP, an applicant DBE firm is required to apply only once for DBE certification. This certification will be honored by all U.S. DOT recipients in California.
