Laura London designed terrazzo paving areas and porcelain enamel steel panels for station platforms.

Black and white contemporary portraits shot in historic locations of rock ‘n’ roll history reference the styles and fashions of the times. Recreated scenes of the San Fernando Valley include the Rolling Stones album cover “Big Hits (High Tides and Green Grass)”, 1969, shot in Franklin Canyon, and Devonshire Downs (racetrack), where the Newport ’69 Festival headlined Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, Marvin Gaye and others. It was also formerly the original Valley College location now Cal State University Northridge.

Laura London was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona and received her Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts. She currently teaches photography at Otis College of Art and Design and at the First Professional Photo Center in Los Angeles. Her photographic work, which integrates contemporary youth and popular culture within the environment, has been exhibited in galleries in the United States, Canada, and Europe and is included in many collections both private and corporate.
