Tether Straps for Mobility Devices

For faster boarding for riders using wheelchairs and scooters on buses.

All Metro buses are outfitted with seating areas to accommodate riders in wheelchairs and scooters. Metro now offers expert pre-marking of tie-down locations on mobility devices or new safety straps for securement points FREE.

Bright yellow tape pre-marks ideal locations for tie-down hooks and enables faster securement. Optional new safety straps also enable quicker attachment and release.

For your convenience, bus operators will:

Assist in lifting folding seats
Quickly identify securement for pre-marked mobility devices
Assist with attaching tie-down hooks to safety straps or markings
Request that your brake be set or power turned off
Offer the optional lap or shoulder belt for comfort and stability
Release the securement equipment and assist your exit from the bus
