Go Metro to “Arthur Nights” Festival at Historic Palace Theater in Downtown L.A. Oct. 19-22Go Metro to the Arthur Nights festivities a four-night underground music festival and cultural happening October 19 -22 at the Palace Theater at 630 South Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. Take the Metro Red Line from the North Hollywood station to Pershing Square and walk two blocks north on Broadway to the Palace Theater. Headliners for Arthur Nights are Boris, Be Your Own Pet, Tav Falco & the Unapproachable PantherBurns, and Heartless Bastards on Friday, Oct. 20; The Sun Ra Arkestra, OM, White Magic and Money Mark on Saturday, Oct. 21; and Comets on Fire, Fiery Furnaces, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and The Sharp Ease on Sunday, Oct. 22. The Palace Theater, opened in 1911, is the oldest of the remaining Orpheum vaudeville theaters in the United States. With garland-draped columns, a color scheme of pale pastels, wall murals depicting pastoral scenes, and ceiling murals of whimsical girls, the Palace Theater offers an unusually charming and graceful setting.
