Metro Service Sectors to Hold Public Hearings in August on Proposed Service Modifications Planned for Implementation in December

• Public Hearing Notice online: Proposed service changes with maps

Four of the five community-based Metro Service Sectors will hold public hearings in August to receive public input on proposed bus service modifications and improvements planned for implementation in December.

The public is encouraged to attend one of the upcoming public hearings to provide Metro staff with input on proposed Metro Bus service changes planned for their communities.

Approved changes in Metro Bus service will be implemented on December 17, 2006 or later. The following are the locations and dates of the sector public hearings planned for August:

San Fernando Valley Sector

San Gabriel Valley Sector

August 2, 2006, 6:30 p.m.

August 8, 2006, 6 p.m.

Marvin Braude Constituent Service Center

SGV Sector Office

3369 Santa Anita Ave.

Please note that the Westside/Central Service Sector will hold its regular monthly meeting in August but will not be holding a public hearing. Their regular monthly meeting will be on August 9th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LASD Sub Station located at 720 North San Vicente Blvd. in Los Angeles.

The following is a list of proposed service changes that will be discussed at the four public hearings noted above. These proposals may be approved in whole of in part at a date following the public hearings. Additional changes may also include other alternatives derived from public comment.

Person unable to attend one of the public hearings may submit written testimony postmarked through August 12, 2006. All written testimony should be addressed to: Metro Customer Relations, Attn: FY 2007 Service Changes, One Gateway Plaza, 99PL4
