Metro Bus and Rail Service Will Be Affected by Saturday Immigrants Rights March in Downtown LAWith the Immigration Rights march in downtown Los Angeles scheduled Saturday, Sept. 2, Metro bus and train service will be affected. Metro Rail plans to beef up service for patrons who want to use the trains to get to the rally point or along the route. The march is scheduled to begin at Olympic and Broadway around 11 a.m. and continue to City Hall at Spring Street, between Temple and First streets. Metro Rail service will be increased on all lines, inclusive of the Blue, Red, Green and Gold, with extra trains and frequent service. The Red Line has three stations close to the march route: 7th/Metro, Pershing Square and Civic Center. Metro will post signs at all affected bus stops, indicating both in English and Spanish where passengers can board detoured buses. The 53 Metro Bus lines affected by the march are: 2, 4, 10, 11, 16, 18, 20, 21, 26, 28, 30, 31, 33, 38, 40, 42, 45, 48, 51, 52, 53, 55, 60, 62, 66, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 94, 96, 333, 439, 444, 445, 446, 447, 460, 484, 485, 487, 490, 720, 740 and 745.
