Go Metro to 10th annual festival Navideño en la Calle Ocho• Popular Latino Christmas Festival To avoid traffic, go Metro to the 10th Annual Festival Navideño en la Calle Ocho (Latino Christmas Festival) Saturday and Sunday Dec. 8-9 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Eighth Street between Normandie and Vermont in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. Admission is free. The Latino Christmas festival will feature 10 blocks of entertainment including carnival rides and games as well as a petting zoo and showcase top billboard musical stars and great tasting Latino and Korean food. More than 100,000 guests are expected. The Latino and Korean communities will come together to celebrate their heritage and culture during the holidays boosting awareness and increasing community spirit. The festivities will begin after an opening statement from special invited guest Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa followed by a cultural exchange dance (Two Cultures One Dream) performed by Tierra Blanca Dance Company. Musical entertainment will include everything from Reggaetón, Tropical and Latin hip hop. Metro bus lines and Metro Rail lines providing access to this year’s festival include the Metro Purple Line, Metro Rapid 720, Wilshire Center Koreatown Dash, Metro Bus Lines 201, 484, 204, 66, 52.
