REMINDS BUS AND RAIL PATRONS TO RETAIN
THEIR SEPTEMBER PASSES FOR CREDIT
ONCE STRIKE ENDS
MTA reminds Metro bus and rail patrons who purchased a September pass to retain their passes for credit towards the purchase of a new monthly pass once the current strike ends.
Pass holders may be eligible to receive a credit towards the purchase of a future month’s pass, prorated according to the length of the strike. No cash refunds will be issued.
During the strike, the following operators have agreed to accept MTA’s September passes: Foothill Transit, Long Beach Transit, City of Los Angeles (DASH, Community Connections, Commuter Express, and Smart Shuttles), Norwalk Transit, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, and Metrolink.
Those riders who use cash to pay for the use of another bus or rail system during the strike will not be reimbursed or receive credit.
Riders should retain their MTA passes. Possible reimbursement and credit details will be made available through all MTA pass vendors and MTA Customer Centers at the conclusion of the strike.
For information on alternative transit services during the strike or rideshare information the public can call 1-800-C-O-M-M-U-T-E, (213) 626-4455 or 1-800-286-RIDE.
