Construction Contracting Opportunities Abound at First Ever Metro-Sponsored Los Angeles Area Construction Contracting Expo

Construction contractors can size up contracting opportunities with more than a dozen public agencies and companies at the first ever Los Angeles Area Construction Contracting Expo.

Sponsored by Metro, the expo will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the 3rd floor Boardroom at Metro Headquarters, One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, 90012.

The expo kicks off with a general session, which will provide attendees with an overview of upcoming construction projects planned for Los Angeles County and the surrounding area. Following the general session, contractors can obtain more detailed project information, contractor requirements (small business certification, bonding, pre-qualification) and contract advertisement notification at the exhibit tables of the following agencies and companies:

Metro will issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) for the $7.3 million Warner Center Park and Ride facility and satellite parking for the Metro Orange Line Warner Center Station construction project

Eastside LRT Constructors is seeking subcontractors for the design/build portion of the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension contract for stations, track work and systems.

Los Angeles Community College District will issue a Request For Bid in the next three to four months for three parking structure projects ranging from $7 million to $15 million.

Howard S. Wright Construction Company South Group is seeking subcontractors for various scopes of work for the construction of The Elleven South Urban Dwellings Project, a $48.9 million condominium project.

Clark Construction is seeking subcontractors for various scopes of work for the USC Galen Center project, an $80 million, 205,000 square foot arena complex.
