Metro Buses, Trains to
Operate Sunday Schedules on New Year's Day
(LOS ANGELES) In observance of the New Year's Day holiday, all Metro Bus and Metro Rail lines will operate on Sunday schedules on New Year's Day, Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, with the exception of the Metro Gold Line and Metro Buses serving Pasadena. Additional trains will operate on the Metro Gold Line and additional buses will operate on all Metro Bus lines that serve Pasadena to accommodate passengers attending the Tournament of Rosesâ and Rose Bowl Game.
To plan a trip using the online Metro Trip Planner (www.metro.net) for January 1, please select "Sunday" as your travel day.
On New Year's Eve day, Dec.
31, all Metro Bus and Metro Rail lines will operate regular weekday schedules.
Rides will be free from 9 p.m., New Year's Eve until 2 a.m., New Year's Day.
All Metro Rail lines will continue operations overnight into the Jan. 1 service
day.
After 2 a.m., Jan. 1, a
one-way fare on the Metro System is $1.25 or passengers may purchase a $3 Metro
Day Pass, which is valid for unlimited use on all Metro buses and trains until 2
a.m. the following day. The Metro Day Pass can be purchased onboard all Metro
Buses and from ticket vending machines at all Metro Rail stations.
