Metro
to Provide Shuttle Service to Santa Anita Park for 2005 Horse Racing Season
Horse
racing fans can ride Metro to attend horse racing events at Santa Anita Park
beginning January 1.
Metro will operate five
round-trip shuttles on race days during the 2005 horse racing season.
Spectators can utilize L.A. county's expansive Metro Bus and Rail system and connect via the Metro Gold Line to Sierra Madre Villa Station in East Pasadena.
Metro Bus #264A will depart
from the first floor parking structure at the following times: 9:35, 10: 25,
11:01, 11:37, and 12:13 p.m.
Riders returning from Santa
Anita Park can return to Sierra Madre Villa Station at 2:40, 3:16, 3:52, 4:28,
and 5:04 p.m.
Shuttles will run until of
the end of the season in April.
Metro operates an additional
bus line serving Santa Anita Park during the racing season. Metro Bus 79 travels
between Los Angeles and Arcadia via Huntington Drive.
One-way Metro fares are $1.25
and $3 for an all-day pass. Passes can be purchased on board Metro Buses or at
Metro Rail station ticket vending machines.
