Public Urged to Use County
Parking Lots and Ride Metro Trains into Pasadena for Rose Bowl Football Game
Rains muddy auxiliary
parking lots, limiting available parking
Rose Bowl football game
organizers are urging the public to consider alternatives to parking in Pasadena
for this year's college football game due to a shortage of auxiliary parking
caused by recent rains. Fans are encouraged to seek parking in other lots around
Metro Gold Line stations and ride the train into Old Pasadena, where shuttles
will take them directly from the Parsons Building to the Rose Bowl gates.
Several parking facilities
along the Metro Gold Line can used to get to Memorial Park Station, the closest
station to the The Parsons Building in Old Pasadena where they can board free
shuttles:
Sierra Madre Villa
Station (149 North Halstead at Colorado Boulevard/Foothill Boulevard)
Parking: 950 total: 850 free, 100 reserved spaces.
Lake Station (340 N. Lake
Avenue at Maple Street/Corson Street)
Parking: 100 reserved spaces only.
Del Mar Station (230
South Raymond Avenue at Del Mar Boulevard/Dayton Street/Fair Oaks Avenue)
Parking: 600 paid spaces
Fillmore Station (95
Fillmore Street at Raymond Avenue/Arroyo Parkway)
Parking: 131 free and reserved spaces
Heritage Square/Arroyo
Station (3545 Pasadena Avenue, At French Avenue [one block south of North
Figueroa Street])

The public may also park in downtown Los Angeles and board the Metro Gold Line at its Union Station terminus:

The Parsons Engineering
parking lot is at 100 West Walnut Street. The shuttle area is on the Corner of
Union and Pasadena Avenues in Old Pasadena (one block north of Colorado Blvd.)
and Pasadena Avenue (one block west of Fair Oaks Avenue). This is the west side
of Parson's Engineering at 100 W. Walnut Street. Shuttles will drop off
passengers between gates "B" and "C", and will run every
five minutes from 10 a.m. until one hour after end of game.
Riders may also take Metro
Buses into Pasadena for Rose Parade and Rose Bowl events: lines 180/181, 256,
260, 268, and 485. These bus lines normally intersect with Colorado Boulevard,
the main parade route, and will follow a slightly modified route New Year's
Day. For specific information on rerouted bus lines, call 1-800-C-O-M-M-U-T-E.
