Metro to Close Down Elevators, Offers Alternative Bus Service at USC Medical Center Bus Station Beginning Nov. 7

Metro plans to close elevators at the USC Medical Center Bus Terminal Monday, Nov. 7 for one month for station refurbishments. Elevator service will shut down at 6 a.m. Monday morning and will resume on December 8, 2005.

Patrons who normally use these station elevators and can’t or would prefer not to use the stairs are advised to utilize alternative bus lines including Metro Bus Lines 70 and 71 to County/USC, and Metro Bus Line 71 to Cal State L.A.  Both lines operate from downtown L.A. via Spring Street, Cesar Chavez, Mission and Marengo to the hospital.

The elevators at the Cal State LA Station are scheduled to be out of service as part of the refurbishment project from December 12 through approximately February 3, 2006.
