October 30 - While Metro mechanics remain on strike, all municipal bus operators and Metrolink commuter rail have agreed to accept Metro October passes as valid fare payment until further notice. Español

Metro Moves to End the Strike 
October 29 - Metro has issued a last, best and final multi-year contract offer to the ATU, representing striking mechanics. The offer was published in "The Communicator"newsletter and mailed and distributed to union members and Metro employees. Union members were asked to contact ATU leaders to request a ratification vote on the offer.

Metro Mechanics on Strike; Transit Service Disrupted
October 14 - The union representing Metro maintenance employees has gone on strike as of 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14. The ATU, representing 2,000 maintenance employees, ordered union members to walk off the job after rejecting four contract offers made by the Metro. Metro's other unions, representing bus and train operators and clerks, are observing ATU picket lines. Until further notice, the strike action interrupts transit service, beginning Oct. 14, to Metro Bus and Metro Rail customers. Español
