What is a RSS feed?

RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, web technology that has taken off with the popularity of news oriented sites, blogs and podcasting. Here’s how it works – an XML format (Extensible Markup Language) file containing hyperlinks with summary information is published on our website. As this files is updated, RSS readers automatically detect this “broadcast” and will retrieve them for you. Once there, simply click on the link to the information you’d like to read more about. What do I need to get started?

To “consume” Metro’s feed you must have a RSS Reader resident on your computer and have internet access.
