Go Metro to L.A. Curry Festival in Thai Town
Go Metro to the first International Curry Festival in California on Sunday, April 13, in Thai Town, East Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard from Western Avenue to Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. Admission is free to the public.

Stimulate your senses and experience different kinds of meals, desserts, and snacks that are made with curry. Find unique and special curry ingredients from around the world. Participants also can learn how to make easy and flavorsome curry dishes and desserts demonstrated by star chef Jet Tila and others.

The L.A. Curry Festival will be held together with the Fifth Annual Thai New Year’s Day Songkran Festival, which is the largest Thai community celebration in the United States.

The festival will create an authentic Thai ambiance with Thai dance performances, Thai costume competition, Thai boxing, and booths that sell Thai crafts and Thai food. Hours will be Sunday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parking will be limited so avoid traffic and parking hassles, by taking public transit.

The festival is within walking distance of the Metro Red Line Hollywood and Western station. Metro Bus Lines 217, 717, 180, 181, 206, 217 also serve the area. Metro fares are $1.25 for a one-way ticket and $5 for an all day pass. Passes can be purchased on board Metro Buses or at Metro Rail station ticket vending machines.

To plan your trip, use the Metro Trip Planner at www.metro.net or call 1-800-COMMUTE. For more information on the Festival go to www.thaicdchome.org/cms/la-curry-festival, or call 323-468-2555
