Los Angeles Metro to Host Technology & Innovation Symposium February 5

  • The Future of Transportation

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will host a free Technology & Innovation Symposium to discuss transportation demand management issues Thursday, Feb. 5 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the agency’s Headquarters Building at Union Station.

Transportation professionals and others interested in how technology and innovation can bring about a greener, more livable and less congested region are invited to attend.
Symposium participants will explore transportation demand management issues such as congestion, public transportation, housing and trends in technology, energy alternatives and other public interests. The symposium will encourage a lively exchange of information and dialogue, helping rethink possible solutions to a constrained public transportation environment and reshape L.A. County into a sustainable community.

The symposium will be held in Metro’s Board Room on the third floor. Registrations begin at 8 a.m. More than 200 symposium participants are already registered.

To register to participate in the symposium as an attendee or exhibitor while space is still available, visit www.metro.net/tdm. For additional information, contact Rufina Juarez, Metro Project Manager at 213-922-7405.
