Fiesta Broadway Celebrates its 20th Anniversary in Los Angeles

  • Go Metro to Largest Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Go Metro to celebrate Fiesta Broadway’s 20th anniversary on Sunday, April 26, and leave your car behind, forget about traffic and parking hassles and save on gasoline. With more than 500,000 visitors expected to attend the festivities in a 24 square block area around Broadway Street, Metro is the best way to travel to downtown Los Angeles. Metro Rail serves this area with stations at Pershing Square and Civic Center.

Fiesta Broadway, the largest outdoor Cinco de Mayo celebration in the United States, will feature live entertainment, booths and street vendors on Broadway Street between Temple Street and Olympic Boulevard.

Metro Buses traveling in and around downtown Los Angeles will be detoured around Fiesta Broadway festivities beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday, April 27. Hill, Broadway and Spring streets will be closed to traffic between First Street and Olympic Boulevard. In addition, all east/west streets from First Street to Olympic will be closed to traffic.

Due to Fiesta Broadway activities, Metro Bus operations in the downtown Los Angeles area may experience some service delays.

All Metro service affected by the street closure will be rerouted. These included Metro lines: 2, 4, 10, 16, 18, 20, 26, 28, 30, 31, 33, 40, 42, 45, 48, 51, 52, 53, 55, 60, 62, 66, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 90, 92, 94, 96, 333, 394, 439, 444, 445, 446, 447, 460, 484, 485, 487, 489, 490, 720, 740 & 745.
