Business Vendors Encouraged to Participate in 15th Annual Greater Los Angeles Vendor Fair March 25

Businesses interested in contracting with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) are encouraged to participate in the 15th Annual Greater Los Angeles Vendor Fair to be held Tuesday, March 25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall B.

Metro, L.A. County’s lead transportation planner, designer, builder and operator, will join the City and County of Los Angeles, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to provide contracting information businesses need to compete for hundreds of millions of dollars in collective agency contracts. Fair organizers will present contract opportunities, introduce business leaders to agency procurement personnel, and provide networking opportunities during the day-long, 2,000 attendee event.

The fair also will include a trade show comprising a variety of vendors that provide specialized products and services for businesses working with public agencies.
Metro has many programs and services that can help companies through the steps in the contracting process, from registering to do business with the agency to competing for, receiving and fulfilling agency contracts.

Metro’s Procurement & Material Management Department works closely with vendors interested in meeting the goods and services needs for Metro's numerous planning, operations and construction activities. The agency operates a Diversity and Economic Opportunity Department that specifically helps small, disadvantaged women, and minority-owned businesses participate in Metro’s contracts by certifying eligible small firms, ensuring their prompt payments, and providing how to workshops cover Metro’s procurement process.

A Full Access Pass to the vendor fair is $100.00 and includes entry to all exhibit areas, admission to all workshops, luncheon and buyers guide that includes a staff directory of all sponsoring agencies’ procurement departments.
