2007 Los Angeles County Corridor Mobility Improvement Program Proposal

On November 7 2006, the voters approved Proposition 1B: The Highway Safety, Traffic Reduction, Air Quality, and Port Security Bond Act of 2006 by a simple majority. The $4.5 billion Corridor Mobility Improvement Program (CMIP) is the first category to draw from this $19.9 billion bond.

Project nominations were submitted to the California Transportation Commission (CTC) on January 16, 2007. Los Angeles County has an ambitious $1.768 billion Corridor Mobility Improvement Program proposal to provide congestion relief on highly congested portions of Interstate 5, Interstate 405, Interstate 10 and safety improvements on Route 138.
