Upcoming Meetings

Metro has held three rounds of community meetings since the inception of the Westside Extension Transit Corridor Study.  The first round of meetings was held in October 2007 and allowed for input to help guide the development of alternatives to address the growing traffic and congestion in the 38 square mile study area. Metro subsequently hosted update meetings in late January and early February 2008, which presented initial alternatives incorporating the public comments submitted during the early scoping period. Based on additional analysis and public feedback, Metro identified seven alternatives for further study which were presented to the public in May 2008.  These included various modes, as well as potential alignments and station locations.  Approximately 1,000 people have attended and participated in these meetings.

In addition to the early scoping meetings and community updates, Metro has attended, and continues to participate in other meetings and briefings with organizations and stakeholder groups throughout the study area. Meetings held so far include:
