Vanpool to Work

Vanpooling is a great way to get to work without the expense and stress of driving alone! A vanpool is a group (usually 7 to 15 people) who commute together on a regular basis in a van and generally travel to work at least 15 miles (or 30 minutes) one-way. Typically, riders pay a monthly fee, while drivers ride free in exchange for driving and maintaining the van. Vanpoolers can save thousands of dollars each year over the cost of driving alone. And right now, you may qualify for vanpool discounts. Call 1.800.COMMUTE for details.

There are currently about 1,000 vanpools on the road in Southern California, and many are seeking new riders. To find out if there is a vanpool available that serves your area, contact 1.800.COMMUTE or log onto our on-line ridematching service, CommuteSmart.info. If there is not an existing vanpool available to serve your commute, it’s easier than you might think to start a new vanpool.
