Click on a link below for complete details: 37th Street Station Northbound Temporary Stop Relocation Effective August 11 and until further notice, northbound Metro Express lines serving 37th Street Station will be rerouted due to Expo Light Rail construction at Adams Blvd & Flower St. The detour is expected to be in effect for at least several months. Southbound buses are unaffected and will continue to serve 37th Street Station southbound platform. Closure of El Monte Busway Effective August 17, 2009, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the El Monte Busway as part of a pavement restoration project on the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10). The El Monte Busway will be closed for approximately the next 3 months everyday from 10:00pm at night through 5:00am the following morning. The Busway will be closed between Alameda St. in Downtown LA and the 710 freeway. |

Metro Blue Line Service Delays Friday & Saturday, November 13 & 14: due to maintenance work after 8:20pm, northbound trains will depart 16 minutes later than regular schedule. Trains will depart Transit Mall at 8:26pm, 8:57pm, 9:17pm, 9:37pm and every 20 minutes until 11:41, then regular schedule. Friday - Sunday, November 20, 21 & 22, due to ongoing Expo Line construction work, Blue Line trains will not operate north of Washington Station. This is the first of eight (8) planned station closures over the next four months to allow for Exposition Line construction. Additional closures will occur in January, February and March 2010. Buses will be used to transport passengers between Washington Station and 7th St./Metro Center. Passengers will experience significant travel delays of up to 40 minutes throughout this period and are advised to allow extra time to complete their trips. November 20, 21 & 22, trains will not serve the following stations:
Buses will transport passengers between Washington Station and 7th St./Metro Center. Buses will run in accordance with the regular Blue Line schedules. At night, the last Westbound Red Line train and Gold Line trains will be held to make connections. Blue Line service between Washington Station and Long Beach Transit Mall will run similar to regular schedules. Bus boarding locations: Northbound to Los Angeles Washington – Long Beach Ave. Northbound Roadway, south of Washington Blvd. Southbound to Long Beach Metro realizes the travel difficulties our customers may encounter due to construction activities. Metro Red/Purple Line Saturday, November 7: due to track maintenance before 6:00am, the Purple Line shuttle will be operating, running between Wilshire / Vermont and Wilshire / Western only, every 20 minutes. All riders destined to Purple Line stations should transfer at Wilshire / Vermont on the upper platform. November 2 – 12, Metro Red Line Elevator Access Alternatives: due to required maintenance, various elevators servicing the Metro Red Line will be out of service November 2 - 12. The station escalators will remain in service. Passengers requiring elevator access should refer to the following schedule: Monday, November 2 thru Monday, November 9 - Hollywood/Vine Station, Hollywood/Vine passengers requiring elevator access from the street level should take Metro Bus Lines 180, 181, 217 or 780 to Hollywood/Highland Station to complete their trip. Red Line passengers requiring elevator access traveling to Hollywood/Vine Station should travel to Hollywood/Highland Station, disembark and take Metro Bus Lines 180,181, 217 or 780 to Hollywood/Vine Station to complete their trip. Thursday, November 5 - Wilshire/Normandie Station, Wilshire/Normandie passengers requiring elevator access to the platform level should take Metro Bus Lines 20 or 720 to Wilshire/Western Station to complete their trip. Purple Line passengers requiring elevator access traveling to Wilshire/Normandie Station should travel to Wilshire/Western Station, disembark and take Metro Bus Lines 20 or 720 to Wilshire/Normandie Station to complete their trip. Lines 444, 445, 446, 447, 460: Northbound buses will detour via 39th Street HOV off ramp to Figueroa St. Buses will make a northbound stop on Figueroa St at 37th St – Exposition Blvd, far side at existing stop serving Lines 81, 102, 200, 442.
