Frequently Asked Questions
We’re building new soundwalls to reduce traffic noise for residents living near the SR-134 and I-210 freeways in Arcadia, Pasadena and Toluca Lake.
Metro is managing construction and community outreach for the project, which was initially designed by Caltrans.
Caltrans chose locations based on noise studies and input from local residents and agencies.
The work includes building wall foundations, installing electrical and communication systems, and removing and replacing trees. Equipment such as cranes, concrete trucks and stripers may be used to do this work.
Metro will coordinate with nearby residents and businesses to share construction updates, address concerns and minimize disruptions wherever possible.
